The reason I did not implement this is that the 1/Turn Damage would need to check that the bonus action is being replaced. The reason for this is that my purpose was mainly to calculate consistent damage output in a normal round/battle.Ĭon: If the GWM bonus action on crit attack is activated, it completely replaces the secondary attack instead of providing it as an additional option. It does not have an option for subtracting attack rolls (such as being affected by bane) nor other options for adding (such as bardic inspiration). Another reason is that it would make the sheet more clunky since individual instances of damage need to be checked for damage type.Ĭon: Only has "bless" as an option for adding a die roll to the attack bonus. The damage output from this feature is less than 0.2 DPR in most cases which is one reason for not implementing it. Example: Paladin with GWF would apply GWF to Divine Favor when it shouldn't.Ĭon: Lacks the elemental adept feature. It would apply the (1->2) to the damage dice of both the thunder and weapon (when it should only be the spell).Ĭon: GWF applies to all Damage Dice. Example: Level 5 Hexblade Warlock uses Booming Blade on a weapon attack. Pro/Con: Elemental Adept is implemented, but also applies to all the damage dice. Pro: GWM bonus action on crit replaces normal bonus action only on a hit. Pro: Demonstrates a lot more info of the attack (minimum damage, maximum damage, when to power up and when not to, chance of landing at least one attack or crit, etc.) The following are my criticisms (positive and negative) of both calculators. To be able to manipulate the calculators: Ludic's DPR Calculator v2.0 Documentation

LudicSavant and AureusFulgen's DPR Calculator (v2.41) I am far too lazy to do my own documentation considering his is already so detailed and so similar. Comparing the math I did against his documentation, we had the same or similar algorithms too. I did the math and made all the algorithms on my own and then tested it against LudicSavant's DPR calculator and it was at least 99% accurate (if anything, I found that mine was more accurate in certain cases which are detailed further below). I also like to compare different PC's damage output to visualize how much more damage a Great Weapon Fighter does against a duelist, or a fighter vs a rogue and how their sneak attack compares. I know that a prominent one already exists (LudicSavant's), but it wasn't as customizable as I wanted it to be. As a coder and math hobbyist, I decided to mix these two fields into making a DPR calculator.
